Religious Education

For K through 12th Grade Students
Class are from September 2024-May 2025

 Religious Classes for Kinder-2nd grade

These faith formation classes are for children in Kindergarten-2nd grade. Please register for the time slot that you are committing to bring student to class every week. These are the available class times:

  • Sunday 9:00AM-10:15AM
  • Sunday 11:00AM-12:15PM
  • Wednesday 3:45PM-5:00PM
Kinder-2nd grade registration

 Religious Classes for 4th-5th grade

These faith formation classes are for 4th and 5th grade students who have already received the Sacrament of 1st Eucharist and are continuing on to learn about our Catholic Faith. Please register for the time slot that you are committing to bring student to class every week.  These are the available class times:

  • Sunday 9:00AM-10:15AM
  • Sunday 11:00AM-12:15PM
  • Wednesday 3:45PM-5:00PM


4th - 5th grade Religious Ed. Registration

Religious Education Classes for 6th-8th grade

Classes are for students who are continuing their religious education after receiving the Sacrament of 1st Eucharist (these classes are NOT to prepare for 1st Eucharist). Please register for the time slot that you are committing to bring student to class every week. These are the available class times:

  • Sunday 3:30PM-4:45PM
  • Wednesday 5:45PM-7:00PM
6th- 8th grade Religious Ed. Registration

1st Eucharist Preparation classes (3rd-5th grade)

1 year class. Class will prepare children for First Reconciliation (confession) and First Eucharist (Holy Communion). Registration closed 9/25/24.


1st Eucharist Preparation classes (6th-8th grade)

1 year class. Class will prepare children for First Reconciliation (confession) and First Eucharist (Holy Communion). This class is on Wednesday from 5:45PM-7:00PM

1st Year Confirmation classes (9th-12th grade)

Our confirmation program is a 2-year program. This class is for high school students who have been baptized and have received the Sacrament of First Eucharist and are starting their journey to prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Registration closed on 9/25/24.

  • Wednesday 5:45PM-7:00PM


2nd Year Confirmation classes (9th-12th grade)

This class is for high school students who have completed one year of Confirmation last year and are continuing to their second year.  For those students who completed 1st year at St. Jude, Ms. Yvette has emailed you a link to register for the 2nd year or Confirmation.  If your teen completed 1st year at another parish, please contact Ms. Yvette Serna directly at (505) 897-4006 or by email at Yvette@stjudenm.org. 

OCIA (adapted for children)

For teens who have never been baptized, this class will prepare teen for the sacraments of Baptism, First Reconciliation & First Eucharist.


For those teens who are baptized but have not been catechized (instructed) or received First Eucharist.
